Students are expected to treat others with kindness and consideration, and to demonstrate good manners at all times. Disruptive or disrespectful behaviour, including bullying, will not be tolerated. We have clear expectations for behaviour both inside and outside the studio. Students are expected to arrive on time, be prepared for lessons, and actively engage in their learning. HEALTH AND SAFETY:
At our ILMINSTER ICONS we prioritize the health and safety of our dancers above all else. We have implemented a comprehensive Health and Safety policy to ensure that our studio is free from hazards and promotes safe dance practice.
Our Halls are regularly inspected to identify and eliminate any potential hazards. We maintain a clean and organized space, with clear pathways and well-maintained floors to prevent slips, trips, and falls. Additionally, there will be adequate lighting and emergency exits to ensure the safety of our dancers in case of any unforeseen events.
We strongly believe in the importance of warm-up and cool-down exercises to prevent injuries and promote physical well-being. Before each dance session, our instructors guide our dancers through a series of warm-up exercises to prepare their bodies for the demands of dancing. Similarly, at the end of each session, we prioritize cool-down exercises to help our dancers gradually lower their heart rate and prevent muscle soreness.
Safe dance practice is at the core of our Health and Safety policy. Our instructors are trained to teach proper technique and body alignment to minimize the risk of injuries. We emphasize the importance of listening to one's body and encourage our dancers to communicate any discomfort or pain they may experience during rehearsals or performances.
By adhering to our Health and Safety policy, we strive to create a studio environment that fosters creativity, growth, and most importantly, the well-being of our dancers.
